MOS will conduct its 76th annual convention at the Grand Hotel in Ocean City, Worcester County, Maryland, on November 22 – 24, 2024 (the weekend before Thanksgiving).

MOS will follow the CDC, state, and local COVID guidelines in effect during the annual convention. All leaders and attendees are expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID unless medically contraindicated.

The Maryland Ornithological Society welcomes all and strives to achieve an atmosphere of diversity and inclusivity. MOS wants its Convention, like its other events, to be a place where all those interested in birds feel at home, have opportunities to grow as birders, and can participate in and enjoy a welcoming and civil birding community.

The Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) is a nonprofit, statewide organization of people who are interested in birds and nature. It promotes the study and enjoyment of birds, knowledge about the natural world around us, and fosters their appreciation and conservation. To that end, MOS conducts an annual convention where both members and non-members can meet, socialize, discuss conservation and natural resource topics, and enjoy guided field trips in various regions of Maryland.
